Default Hi guys!

Hey people, been out for while sometime, but now im thinking about getting back into the S2k again. The price is surprising high right now, my guess is because of summer. But anyway i found a thief recovery 04-05 s2k going for 13k all the time and very tempting to buy it. What do yal think?

found this 1 in Arlington Tx. http://dallas.craigslist.org/dal/cto/3082876925.html
do a quick google with VIN and this pop up: http://www.salvage-cars-for-sale.inf...05-Mjg3MjIxNjE

Buy, but low ball him. A salvage title is a huge detriment, and you may have a hard time getting full coverage with insurance.

Oh man I wouldn't buy it for that price. Not with a salvaged title. I wouldn't pay no more then $9k Max. Nice car now but it has been through hell.

I have a rebuilt title and I have an agreed value with my insurance company where they write me a check for a certain amount if I total the car. I paid 7500 for my 2005 two years ago and it only had 27000 miles on it or so. I think that is a horrible price unless they have come up in value by a lot. I would make sure via car fax that it was a theft recovery and not a wreck. And make sure all the VINs match on the engine and transmission. Other then that you should be clear.

The agreed amount insurance is expensive but I think necessary if you have after market work done to the car.

it was indeed thief, the second link show the car with no headlight, taillight, wheels, and the whole interior is gone. The engines and all panel are still there. As for the price yes i will have to negotiate on it if i decide to buy it.

You might inquire in the N.Texas forums and see if anyone local could check the car out for you. Also, see if your present insurance will cover a salvaged car.
