Woo hoo! It's just too bad that you couldn't get your car before a 3-day weekend smack dab in the middle of some perfect convertible weather.

Have fun!

SWEET! Longest lunch break I've had, but well worth it!

I'm going to visit family & friends down in CC (Corpus Christi) for the holiday weekend. That'll put me 400+ miles closer to engaging VTEC after this weekend. CC forecast is upper 80's and partly cloudy all weekend, better pack my sunblock

Had a great weekend in CC. Even had a car pull up next to me to ask (screaming of course)"what kind of car is that?". We were doing almost 80 down the highway(it's still 70 down there) when they did that

On the wayback I hit 600 miles in Refugio, so I've finally experienced the thrill that is VTEC

Passed a black S2000 heading west on HWY 6 when I got back. The other driver waved at me, though I don't know if he saw me wave back as I didn't see him right away.

Are you from CC? I'm from that neck of the woods.

Lived down there before Houston, my dad's company transferred him down in 82. I started college at Del Mar because I was sick of moving - one time I figured out that when I was 25 I'd lived 25 places. I moved to Houston in 87 to finish at U of H.

My sister and her husband live west of Five Points.

That's pretty funny. I lived there until 81 when my dad moved to Houston to pursue his career. My mom finished her nursing degree at del mar before then. I used to live right off of Everhart/Holly across the street from Kiko's. Small world, huh?

I hope your car is running good. Don't forget to check the oil at EVERY fillup. VTECing takes a toll on the oil consumption. I went through a few quarts between 600 miles and 2500 miles. My car had a drinking problem, but has since recovered.

When we first moved there my folx rented a house in Portland, I graduated from GP in 84. In 85 they purchased a home off Everhart past Saratoga. That helped me a bunch on tuition at Del Mar as Portland is out-of-district.

Yep, running great. Ahha! Was wondering about the oil use. I've been checking every fillup but hadn't seen it drop any. Was wondering if I was doing something wrong in checking the oil. I've not filled up since engaging VTEC, so I'll probably need some the next fillup.

what a coincidence, 'cause i was born in memphis tennessee in 84. my parents had a business over there, and we were doing really good so we stayed. after a while, my parents decided to move somewhere where we could practice our religion more. at this time, i was graduating from kindergarden, so my parents decided to wait a year. by the middle of first grade, i was already moving to houston, where we opened a couple of businesses. i went on to second grade in public school during 91, and then my parents moved me back to private school, so i stayed until 98. i went to high school in 99, and i'm still attending the same one. small world, huh?
