Default Lexan window

Does anyone know of a place in Houston that can make/install a Lexan window in my Hardtop? Mine is glazed over and I can barely see out the back window. I have heard Lexan is stronger, scratch resistant, and won't fog up. Does anyone have a Lexan window? I would like to know how you like it.

Ever thought about going to glass? I got a glass window and new seal from VIS.

Might end up being about the same price as a custom lexan install and you wont have to worry about scratches/fogging.

How much did you pay for the glass? I haven't really looked into glass. I was afraid that it would break due to the Hardtop flexing. How much does the glass window weigh? I don't really want to add a bunch of weight.

Lexan yellows from UV but is easy to polish.

Do you have to polish both the outside and the inside?

The plastic window on my hardtop was covered in scratches the first time I washed it. Glass would look much better but last time I checked it was $300 for the glass alone.
I might just wait until I can't see out of it.

You can't polish out the yellowing from the Sun but scratches can be polished with plastic x

you can get the lexan from the home depot and on a weekend take out the old one trace it on the lexan and cut it out and reinstall with new caulking, get the 3m or you can get the rope like stough that you just lay in and put the lexan in. this will make for a fun weekend and you can do something to you car yourself.

Sorry it took a while to get back to you.
I believe I paid $325 shipped for the glass and a new seal. The glass seems pretty sturdy and its nice not having to worry about scratches.

I've been driving it over the crazy rough roads here in New York and New Jersey after a road trip back from Houston, so far no issues but I'll definitely be keeping an eye on it as I take the car to a few track events this summer.
