Default New Speedway in Houston!!!

I heard on the radio that a new race track was supposed to open down on 288!!! Anyone with details, please post!

Theey want to build a 100 million dollar complex in south Houston to bring Nascar to our city.

Well, guys, please have in mind that modern speedways usually have an inside road course to go along the oval (think of Indianapolis or even better, TWS).

So, even if the MAIN event is a NASCAR race once a year, there could be plenty of other, more interesting races on the road course. There could also be a chance of DE events or open track days.

I'm all for it.

Not much on Nascar either, kind of boring. I can't believe a City like Houston does not have a proper Speedway. If they put in a track like Laguna Seca, we'd have Superbike Racing, GOOD cart, and one HELL of a wekend playground!

I, for one, welcome the new speedway or whatever it is. Maybe get some Auto-X done. As long as they don't put up another fuss like they did over Reliant Stadium.
