I live in Seabrook, 1960 is a bit of a drive.

 

RudyW and I were just in Seabrook a few hours ago. Small world.

 

was driving to work this morning and I noticed what seemed to be a growling noise coming from the area of the transmission when I decelerated. I stopped at the Honda dealer near work and asked them to look at it.

Remember this is my first day of ownership and I am sick waiting to hear that what the problem was. I also had the fear that they would not cover it under warranty due to abuse(from previous owner).

When I did not hear from the dealer by 2:00 pm I called and the service tech said I need to check for you. A little earlier I noticed a bunch of people under your car looking at it.

Well when she returns she informs me that I needed a new clutch and pressure plate. My heart dropped until she said it is covered under warranty and since we need to keep it over night we will give you a free loaner.

I see many here have complained about Honda service, but my first experience has left me quite impressed. Russel SmithToyota at 610 and Main are great.

 

Russel and Smith offered me $10k over sticker when I wanted to buy an S2000 back in the summer of 2000. I told them that they had the highest priced S2000 in Houston, and they said they didn't care. They've sold 10 @ $10k over sticker and they weren't coming down.

I'm definitely not going to give them any of my money when they made $100k on dealer markup.

 

They had one in the showroom that they were discounting. I guess they woke up.

 

Go th honda of clear lake( I-45 between nasa rd1 and bay area) ask for doug and have brent work on the car if possible. They changed my clutch in 1 1/2 hrs. I just waited.
