Default The Other White Meat

Ok, so I picked a strange subject. I didn't want to be too obvious on the topic...

How many Houstooks have joined up or are hanging out at the other site now?

Have been for a long time.

And I have to say, lately I find more interesting message traffic over there than here. Outside the Houstooks forum, the quality seems to have fallen off quite a bit over the last 12 months.

One of the reasons why I did not pay up again.

I've never liked the antics of the founders behind S2KCA. The whole club thing really rubs me the wrong way. I've been offered a free membership to S2KCA (I helped with some graphic design work) but I have no interest. I'm just not cool with some of the way the club has been handled, so I don't visit their forum because of that. S2K Days is a good example, I don't like how only members can sign up. I will never go to something that I have to sign up to a specific club just to get into. It just seems wrong to me.

Liability is the keyword. You had to be a member of the club in order to be covered by their insurance policy. And that was also the reason for the, let's call it "hesitation", to let others tag along for the drives. Arguably at least some of the drive

I'm sure there were ways to overcome that, seeing how those who wanted to tag along were mostly from Texas, which would have been covered under their own insurance regardless of the event. I now see why the event here was so small of a showing.

Have you guys seen the post slamming the "party crashers"? A little overboard isn't it? I mean I understand that they really wanted to be members exclusive GTG, but geez. I'm not a member so I can't voice my opposition.

??? Haven't seen it. Which one is it? The only thing I've seen thus far on the subject was the positive interactions between Houstooks and the rest of the S2KCA clan.
