Default Poor motor

So I'm a new S owner and my motor is hurting

Previous owner didn't take the best care of her....150 compression in cylinder four...

Makes me go

Car still drives okay just down A LOT of power...and when we dont have a lot to begin with...lol. It's BARELY faster than a 93 240sx with a dohc non turbo motor in it

Called around and most places want like $2,000 in labor alone to rebuild it.....

Done... PM sent

I thought about doing an insurance claim and having em replace the motor by honduhh.... but they said they'd only do that if the motor got hydrolocked or something of that nature.

I could of swore I read about some folks using insurance to cover a blown motor....

I don't mind the small jump in insurance if it saves me the initial shock of $3k +...

Better double check how much it is to replace that motor at a dealer before you end up totaling your car out from the quote being too high.

What he said! There are a few people on the forum that strip down and sell total'd s2000's. Look in the main for sale classifieds. As for labor, I have a honda mechanic up here in Houston that does side jobs so possibly you can save on labor. Let me know!
