Default Registering in Texas

So I just recently picked up an s2000 locally and I'm trying to register it. I'm new to Texas and this process seems like a pain.

The car was just inspected 2 months ago, but the PO didn't have a receipt or anything from it. Do I need to get it inspected again before registering or is there some way I can pull up the record of inspection?

Thanks

I think it would be best it you went and had it respected. Since we have the "new" single sticker some are having issues of the inspection report not being logged in the system for renewal.

Its not that big of a deal as long as all your ducks are in a line.

Gotta love the taxes. Sales tax? On something you already own?

The tax office has your car's record online, so you do not have to re-inspect your car, I just transferred title a car last Friday and they looked it up and told me that my car was inspected in May.
