Default s2000 hardtop

well i finally saved money for my s2000 to get the hardtop finished and installed..but i need some more advice. Since my last 4 digits of my Vin # is under 5730 i have to get this hardtop kit from hardtopguy.com for around 800 dollars but i don't know where to take my car to get it installed. help please i need to get my car up and cruising as soon as possible

It's not that hard to do by yourself except putting the top on. That or you could go get raped by a dealer.

it takes under an hour to install the hardtop. find a random friend to help when you want to put the hardtop on the car.

Early AP1's don't have the wiring pre installed for the defroster wiring.

but if you dont care to have the defroster would it matter? i have an 01 and i dont believe i have any wiring for a rear defroster. so if i was to get an HT id have to do the same?

Pretty much. It's a plug on one of the side for the HT to plug up to, then the wiring / relay / switch for the defroster. Other than that eh. Defroster honestly is really handy for Houston tbh.

iono boss i agree but is it 800 bux handy? that just seems like a bunch money to me for a friggin defroster. but what about that VIN what if his VIN was after 5730?

After that they started putting the wiring in. Also, I think that 800 bux isn't just the wiring. It's probably both of the mounting brackets, hard top catchers, wiring, and some other misc things. I'm can't say for sure though.

damn i'm getting there. right now, i'll be at 700 bucks for this stupid hardtop.

and i haven't figured in paint.
