I would ask him if there are any other parts he has from his s2000. Tell him you have a Silver s2000 and are looking for a hardtop, and see where the conversation goes.

More than likely the thief has scanned these forums . You would be better off just trying to meet up to see the seats and case the seller . If its your seats just shoot him and rid the world of him

Godmachine I would argue otherwise. If these individuals scanned this forum then posting a craigslist ad and attempting to sell stolen parts would be counter to someone who is aware of the circumstances.

Apparently someone spotted it... I didn't even get my hopes up, it just feels wrong.

I wonder why the spotter has a brand new profile? Are they just trying to protect their identity (for obvious reasons) or is someone trying to mislead?

Well, TrackJunkies is really a Texas forum, but they posted a link to s2ki and TJs on Jalopnik. That's my reasoning at least, but it still seems fishy...

Also I just saw security footage of HDA's getting stolen. They were either dropped off or walked to his apartment complex, pushed the main gates open just wide enough to slip in, and then drove away in his car. Two white males, look like they have black hair but the tape is so crappy it's hard to tell...

there should be a way to contact the web admin and figure out the IP address of the spotter. bet you anything he's no where near florida and in houston, prob just someone to cover their tracks. could be wrong though but i agree this is just to random and just doesn't sound and feel right. i would try to contact tech support or web admin who ever that can try help you with obtaining the IP address from the time that was posted.

that or if he is in florida check call records from houston or any nearby cities. chances are this person is involved one way or another. only if it was that simple LOL but theres gotta be a way to obtain this info
