Thumbs up S2K Thieves in Houston?

I was reading about all these thieves over in FL targeting S2K's and I was just wondering if anyone has had any incidents while owning their S2K in H-Town? I don't even own one yet, but just reading threads about the seat thieves scares the shit out of me, especially b/c I won't have a nice cozy garage to park the car in. I live in a suburb, so I'm not too worried, but I just wanted to hear some experiences from you owners. Thanks, I would appreciate it!

I have a red 01. I've only had it for a year. The worst thing that ever happen and hopefully nothing else, was someone stole the cap on my rear bumper, ment for towing i guess. I ended up buying two because I had to wait like 3 days to receive it. In the mean time, my rear bumper had a whole

My car doesnt leave my sight so im not too worried. And if something was to happen I have plenty insurance

There was this 1 guy in this other board that was always just posting in parts FS.I always knew something was up since he would constantly post s2k parts like steering wheel, start buttons, etc. At 1 point he had 3 pairs of seats including some 06 which at the time were very rare. Finally attn was brought to him but he was just banned.

Damn, either he was really quick or he actually drove the car somewhere to take all that stuff. Sad stuff though.

I remember someone's hardtop was stolen in Houston, mine is garaged with full coverage... if they wanted it that bad, they can have it. I'll just buy a Cayman.

just make sure you have good insurance and a good insurance company.

I have had my top cut, but nothing was stolen. I think they were trying for my radar but it was mounted too low.

my sti was just 2 months old when someone try to break in. they try to pick the lock and the door jamb. lock is all messed up and the door jamb had a bend.

They need to chop off hands for stealing. That would stop thefts with a quickness. One hand per offense, lol.

no kidding, after I saw what happened to the Mugen RSX, me and Mark (previous owner) cried.

Only a moron would've stolen everything but the Mugen parts themselves
