Sound System Solution
Anyone looking for a great solution to the biggest "flaw" in the S2K? I designed custom speakers to go into the rollbar. The front and the back pieces screw into each other so there is no drilling. There are rear speaker outputs in existing radio, but the fade doesn't work. I used 5 1/2" MB Quartz which sound great, even at speed since they are right behind your head and there is a hole in the seat headrest. The speaker wires ran right through the seatbelt holes. It looks totaly stock and is reversable if desired. There is an added bonus, by plugging the holes in the rollbar, you also reduce wind noise. The guy who hand crafted and installed them will do it for $450 total. He is in the Houston (TX) area. IF anyone wants his phone number, email me at

i don't have the money for it right now, but i would really like to see it. have you ever come out with the houstooks on friday or saturday nights? you should come (it's always fun), and you can show us the speakers while you're there.
does the person that did the installation sell speakers too, or did you buy them and then he put everything together?
