headunit, amp, and good set of components. After that, if you are not satisfied with the sound then upgrade to spods or sub.

i have spods and i love them. if your car is your daily, then i'd suggest you work on your audio since you'll spend more time in it rather than looking at it

I have an accord for daily but do like to listen to music in s2000 while out stranding and having to turn up the volume to near 30 out of 40.

Amp I am the speakers or would an aftermarket HU have enough juice? I am not trying get a killer system. Just something good.

As for subs, I only like in-cabin subs. Had one in my old mr2. 8in JL that was wonderful at only 150w and 125rms. Not much option for the s2000.

personally I'd say drop and wheels.... in stock form we are riding wayyyy too high

As for audio... you can spend $200 for a huge improvement audio system. 80-100 speakers and 100-120 HU...

subs are really not necessary, though definitely nice... just stick to a good 8"

I'd get the components, amp, and headunit. You'll have the interior sound desired since you will hear your speakers with top down or up. Plus, if you upgrade to nice speakers and headunit. You'll lack the juice to give the speakers its true potential. Now I'm not telling you to go crazy and get your doors sealed and all. Just a nice set of components that give good midbass and my preference is warm silk dome tweeter components.
