wow that's horrible. Im thinking of leaving my car outside as bait and wait there with my shotgun lol. My friend did it with his prelude and popped the thief in the knee cap and called the cops

lol I dont think so. The guy was on his property and according to his weapon license, it mentioned something about shooting to immobilize when someone poses as a threat. He shot him in the leg which obviously wasn't intended to murder the guy. This happened almost 3 years ago I believe and my friend didnt get in trouble for anything. Plus it didnt help that the theif had some warrants out anyway

They can try, but they won't get anywhere. Texas has an old law that allows you to protect your property with a gun.

They had it before to where you could shoot, but it had to be a last resort. They did away with that rule after a few lawsuits from rights groups.

Two in the chest is the way to go. That way the thief cant come try to kill you after he gets out of jail or whatever.

OP should PM the guy and see if they are actually his floormats (act like a potential buyer). Then if they are, have the whole houstooks gang jump in .
