Default what a weekend!

becareful out there. I went to jail for 24 hours for PI last weekend. It was in downtown by the hardrock. They had about 20 cops there busting people all night. I was in the backsit and only had 1 drink. My driver had 2 warrents and the car had expired tags. so everyone when to jail.

the cops did not do any tests on one. All he said was that I was drunk, I was indangering myself, and He was the "judge" on the streets. He would not even give me his name. He kept his name tag so no one could see it. We even had a HPD Lieutenant on the phone, but he would not talk to him.

a bunch of people at the jail got pickup while walking to their hotel or walking out of a bar.

They need to do something about this new BS PI law.

Word. This seems like the cops are taking advantage of this and arresting who ever they feel like arresting.

I guess legally they can arrest those that are truly publically intoxicated. it's BS that you got arrested. It is also going to be horrible for businesses that depend on drunkards like Dustin to show up...OOP, my bad. hahah

How do you know the person is intoxicated?
Once we have identified the possibly intoxicated person and witnessed the possible illegal sale, then an agent not acting in an undercover capacity approaches the patron and asks the patron to step outside into a controlled, quiet environment. The agent can then talk one-on-one with the patron to truly assess his or her level of intoxication. Our agents usually perform standard field sobriety tests on the patrons, identical to the tests that are performed by other law enforcement officers who stop people for driving while intoxicated. (However, the person may refuse or be too intoxicated to safely perform the test.) If the person fails the standard field sobriety test, then the agent may offer him/her a portable breath test. However, the breath tests offered by our agents are not admissible in court, and that information is not used in our decision whether to cite the person, but it is information gathered by our agency to benchmark how intoxicated the people are that we have been arresting.

I never recieve any test.
