yep. listen to everything a little and learn to appreciate what it can offer
then have your favorite that you listen to the most!

 

takes some, not much. Take a small snippet from different songs, make it sound original and something people can't move to...that's talent. Or just make a track from scratch. That's why I love Timbaland and Neptunes tracks. Most of them are very original. Dre has some bangas too. When I listen to rap it's all about the music. If the beat is bangin, it's bangin in my car. I will only notice the lyrics if the rapper's delivery is good. Listen to say...Ludacris, humorous rapper, but not a lyrical genious. He is clever and witty, but I think it's his delivery and voice that make people rap along and play his songs.

Jay Z songs...I only like whne there is a phat ass beat. He has clever things to say, but his delivery is so...man, he talking. But...that timbo beat on dust your shoulders off...DAYUM, i can play that track all day!!!!
