Alignment Shops?
Looking for a good alignment shop in the Dallas area. Preferably somewhere that is knowledgeable and will do pretty much whatever I want. =-) Any recommendations?
Thanks,
Ryan

I had my alignment done by America's Service Station. I was able to talk the guy into aligning the car to my specs, with me sitting in the car. He did a good job, but he charged me $180.
I know that was a lot more money than I should have paid, but nobody else would let me sit in the car while they did it.

Try http://www.autoscope.net/ in Plano. Mostly a BMW shop, but I've seen fully race prepped M3s in there, I got a standard alignment there no problem ($120 I think?) and Clovis turned me on to their shop - he mentioned they have some new super-nifty alignment equipment. Sorry, don't remember the details.
It's not nearby, but i take mine to Dallas Frame and Alignment down by royal and 35. It's pretty much all they do. And they use the old bubble type gauges instead of the electronic ones which get their calibrations screwed up.
That's where all the supra racers go. For what it's worth.

If you go out to the BMW autocross this weekend and you have a pretty good chance of meeting Nerces. He drives a yellow E36 M3 and he is the owner of Autoscope, which has the top-of-the-line Hunter. He sometimes gives fellow autocrossers/trackjunkies discounts and he allows you to sit in the car during the alignment
Also, I have heard the John Eagle Honda has a Hunter as well and they will align to your specs. They are much cheaper than Autoscope (even with a discount) but they do not usually allow you to sit in the car. I am going to try them next.

Well i had just heard from my mechanic that the electronic ones get skewed easily. If you drop one unit then it's screwed until the vendor can be onsite to repair it. With the manual stuff, they just walk over to this device bolted to the wall and calibrate it. I really dont know that much about it though.
I'd give a strong recommendation for Autoscope. They will let you specify your own settings, sit in the car, and Nerces is just an overall good business man. Oh, they also now have corner weight scales if you have adjustable coilovers. I believe my alignment was in the range of $100...
