I wish I could post up pics for this but here goes anyway....
I picked up a 2001 NFR Honda S2000 from one of our dealers in Arlington.
It's pretty unique I would say. It probably belonged to someone on this forum. The S2000.org on the windscreen gave it away.
What I'd like to know (because someone on this forum knows who the previous owner was) is a little about this car's History.
The list:
1. It's a 2001 NFR S2000 with a little over 51K in it.
2. It was most likely traded into an Autonation store
3. It looks stock outside, and Has the OEM front Lip
4. Nearly New Potenza S-03'S on OEM 16" Rims
5. S2000.org Decal on the windscreen
6. Front grill indicates some sort of modification before (It's been trimmed)
7. Has a "aluminum ball" type shift knob
8. From the stiffness of the clutch, most likely an upgraded clutch assembly
9. Has an Innovative A/F Gauge with digital readout on the radio Cover door
10. Also Has a digital water temp combo gauge next to it on the radio door
11. OEM Radio (has an amp i the back though)
If anyone can help me with the history of this car it would be a great help! This car will most likely be certified, pending inspection of mentioned modifications.
Maybe my old "track/autocross" car. What do you need to know? I dont think it would qualify for certification as it was supercharged at one time. Although It was very highly maintained and I am not aware of any mechanical problems or issues.

Dang... you should have sold me those gauges! (and I had a nice radio door to replace that with too.)
maybe you can still get them, I doubt Honda would want to sell it with them in the car. Probably a big turnoff to "most buyers". The buying dealer never asked or gave me the chance to take it back to stock form.
I just wanted to know a little about the vehicle's history so I can tell my customer. I'll probably leave out the autocross and "was supercharged." I f we still have the car after this weekend I can arrange for someone who knows what they're doing to get the modifications out of the car, and swap in OEM stuff. It would most likely be better for us any way, and you're right...we won't certify it.
Vin ends ins 1T000598 would really like to know about this car.
I bought it when it had 30 k on it and maintained it it highly. Only mobil one oil, GM synchromesh Friction modified in the tranny, LE 607 in the diff. all oils Diff, tranny, engine were changed every three thousand miles during the time I owned it.
Has the Spa technique oil pressure/temp gauges but no sensors because I took off the greddy block adapter where the sensors were mounted( more about that later)
Innovate motorsports LC1 XD 1 wideband o2 combo the LC 1 is mounted under the car to the fuel line cover.
It was SCed for only about 4000 miles
Mugen pressure plate with OEM disk
Mugen thermostat ,fan switch and radiator cap
Hondata intake insulator gasket
Team Voodoo shift knob
Ricks Leather visor covers and console cover.
upgraded 4 hole oil jets
Phoenix Gold M50 amp wired to Kenwood door speakers and Aura Bass shakers mounted under the seats.
I had that S2000 for about 20,000 miles and it was incredibly reliable until I supercharged it.
The car was serviced by Huggins Honda, Marcucci, Myself.
I still have the factory Tstat, radiator cap
I still have the factory shift knob
I still have the Convertible top boot cover
I still have the stock fuel pump ( I think)
I can get all of those things and some other misc. stock parts to you If you will get me the Innovate LC1-XD1 combo and shift knob
That is the good news.......
The bad news is....
Still has the Comptech ESM wired to the ECU and still has the Walbro High volume high pressure fuel pump.
The ESM will be a PITA to get out because I cut the ECU wires a little to short when I installed it. It will take a tech with alot of patience to get that corrected
At around 46,000 miles Had an oil fire at 70 on the hwy from a Greddy block adapter coming loose. No damage other than cosmetic and the fried oil temperature sensor wire(rear bumper needs painted and there was oil everywhere). When I saw the oil pressure start dropping I shut it off immediately.
Broke a passenger side driveshaft while SCed,replaced...
Had a spark plug come loose at around 38,000 miles the electrode was gone when I pulled it out, Got lucky there with no apparent damage. I checked the bore for scoring , there was none, Checked for compression it was perfect.
Let me know if I can be any help and if you are interested in getting the Innovate gauge and shift knob to me in trade for the stock parts. I would really love to get those back.

Haha geez, I didn't know it was your car. I went to look at it today when Scott was working and after I heard "supercharged" I was like pass...especially not being CPO, with aftermarket piggyback ecu and high volue fuel pump which probably makes it run too rich and being 20 grand.
Hopefully someone that's not so well versed in the S will pick this up though

It would be a great car. In fact if I could afford both the C6 and my old S I would do just that. but, for 20k you should be able to find an 02+ with much lower mileage. I think the SC is no big deal it was only on there for about 4000 miles. The ESM does nothing except clamp the map sensor voltage to hide boost from the ECU so it does nothing without positive manifold pressure. The Fuel pump does nothing without an adjustable FPR so it should run perfect. They gave me 17.5k when I traded it in if that is any help.
