Default Atom Spotted

Spotted: 407/Garden Ridge

I saw a blue Atom pulling away from the intersection. Idling, it was very quiet, but when he got on it, it was louder than a Harley! It was very cool!

I only wish I had my camera ready faster!

I parked next to an atom last fall with the guy in it (it was yellow and white)

I waved hi, and the guy screamed at me "QUIT STALKING ME ALREADY!!!!" and took off smoking tires and all in the parking lot and blasted away in his atom.

I thought, JERK....

wait that was pretty cool and very fast

Ya the guy who owns it lives in the Lewisville area. Atleast he did 2 years ago when I talked to him about the atom, when I was looking at getting one. He is a real nice guy. With his experience with Brammo was one of the reasons I decided to wait. And am realy glad I did. And now to get one I can get a Lotus Exige S for about the same price.

An Atom will run circles around an Exige S.

You can buy 2 Exige S's for the price of a well built loaded s/c Atom. The question is, will you be able to drive either to full potential? I'm pretty surprised he actually kept that thing for 2 years.

When the Atom was first released, I sent an email to Rick at Driver's Edge about a rumor I heard - he confirmed that they wouldn't allow Atoms in to their DEs because they consider it an open-wheeled car. I never understood it, but without easy access to track time I lost all interest in the car. Oh well, it's very expensive anyway.

Mark, I think if you owned an Atom, you would be a member at MSR and have access to the track frequently.
