Autocross Timing Systems
Well after a quick search of the net, I found some very nice, high dollar stuff from:
Race America, especially their AC4 Acutocross Timing System
http://www.raceamerica.com/pricing/pac4.html
and Longacre, especially their Hot Lap In-Car Timer system
http://www.longacreracing.com/catalog/catl...st.asp?catid=10
and JA Circuits
http://www.mich.com/~jacircts/prod01.htm
Very nice, but very expensive.
Then I found LapTracker Autocross Pro
http://www.a-metrics.com/autocros1.htm
This system is very reasonable and geared for what we want to do. Software AND hardware for $290!!!
I have downloaded the software demo. You can too.
Regards,
Al

RaceAmerica is quite expensive... $1000+
In-car systems aren't very feasable for our events...
JACircuits is even more expensive...
$290? WOW! That could be perfect for us. I'll have to check out the demo when I get some more time.
Thanks for the info. Let us know if you find more.

I've played with the demo some and for that price I don't see a reason to not get it. It seems to work well, and does exactly what we need. I guess we've never put together a process for spending the club's money, huh?
