I don't think I did. I did have to cut the inner fender liner, though... so have a dremel (or similar device) handy if your CAI requires it.

I just used a knife to cut the fender liner, didn't have to take off the bumper.

So you're rolling around on tires down to the cord but busy installing a cold air intake? I'd suggest getting the basics taken care of and having the car up to spec with maintenance before modding, but that's just me.

u dont have to take it off, but it makes it easier.

Just a friendly reminder, these cars are VERY tail happy and bald tires on the rear certainly don't help especially in this cold weather. If you do a search on the board you'll see lots of threads where people put their car into a curb and I prefer for it to not be any locals

Some install pics of my AEM V2 HERE in case they're useful

I've done two installs - first one we took off the bumper, second one I didn't.

Two GREAT ideas.

IMO the umbrella and plugs are a must with a CAI.

Definitely, especially if this is your daily driver.
Not sure about the weather up in dallas, but houston weather is crazy.
Not worth the risk of hydrolock. IMHO.
I have the Aem V2 and even with these 2 mods i still get a little nervous when it start to pour down.......
just a little heads up.
hope this info helps
