Since this came up, I've been sorta thinking about painting my calipers...
A few questions:
1) Is that too ricey? I'm not sure on this one...
2) What color would look good on a NFR? NFR? Black? Silver? White?
3) What kind of paint do you use?
4) How much do you paint? Anyone who's done it have closeup pics?

I don't think it's ricey at all. It seems to be a trademark for high-performance vehicles these days. Now, if you painted the calipers on a Ford Festiva or a VW Beetle, that IS totally ricey. Besides after seeing that 911 with the wing affixed to the top of the flip up spoiler, rice seems to be in fashion. You just won't catch me being ricey - i'm a jeans and t-shirt kida guy, so stock is good.
The only mod i will consider for my S is red caliper paint. The decals i will probably do without until i see them in pics or in real life.

This stuff is supposed to harden like a BIT@#$@H!! The company even guarantees it. I just received the paint yesterday. It is an all inclusive kit with brush, gloves, cleaner, etc. There are multiple colors. I plan to get my car up on jack stands tonight to do the prep work and paint the calipers tomorrow morning.
Suggested temperature for painting and curing is below 75 degrees? It takes 2 hours after painting before you can put the wheels on and 24 hours to drive the car.
Here's the URL for decals that go on after painting.Caliper decals
