Default Car Keyed

Are people that jealous of s2000's, or are they just mad at anyone with a loud exhaust? Or some combination? My girl and I were in Hobby Lobby of all places when it happened. From the driver's door handle to the gas tank. Looks pretty deep. And I wasn't even driving fast-she won't let me when she's riding along.

This gonna cost more than 500.00? The last thing I want to do is file yet another claim. Just got my friggin car back.

BTW,
I'll still sell this exhaust for 200.00. I noticed someone wanted one. Just take a ride to see if you like it. Sounds incredible, but fairly loud. Single straight-thru muffler before split-should make power, but not dynoed.

Thx,
Tom

Go to Best Choice Auto at 75 and Spring Valley. He helped me out a lot when my Z got keyed. But Make sure the end product looks perfect. Tell him that Sam send you and he will give u a better deal.

Sorry to hear about the keying. Total BS, I had it happen to my M3 once.

See if you can find someone to wet sand and buff it out. I have a friend in Florida who used to work at a body shop. We spent an afternoon wetsanding, buffing and filling with touch up paint. It looked great when it was done.

Mike @ Colors on Parade. Should be able to get it as close to perfect w/o going to a body shop. you may have to contact 60N5.5 to get it. I never seem to be able to keep mikes card.

That does suck man, sorry to hear about it.

Maybe there's something to be said about keeping the car stock, keeping a low profile and parking int he very back of the lot.

Yea, I don't think the exhaust helps (which came on the car), but I always park humbly. I agree that people that use two spaces and so forth are just asking for it. I'm going to try to get a camera. I'll use it for autox and also turn it on every time I park. Maybe I can get it to feed to a phone or something, too, in case someone steals the camera itself.

To date: top slashed, drink THROWN INTO my car at a stop light when I had the top down, and now keyed

I'll take dealing with that junk anyday over a "normal" car, though.

BTW, thx for the shop recommendations, but I've already built a good relationship with Bergman's Paint and Body in Farmer's Branch through the last couple incidents, and already told them about this, so I'm kind of obligated to bring it back there now. Besides, I ran into a problem with the driver's door lock that might be related to the accident, so I'll try to get it done in one shot. Almost forgot, my AP1 rims are still down there too-which I may sell if someone wants to take a look. A couple are scraped from from the spinout.

Thx again,
Tom

Driving humbly and parking in the farthest parking spot doesn't invite keyers in my own experience.

Not saying you're guilty, so please dont take it the wrong way, but I find that showboating or obnoxiousness invites it.

Still , a man should never f with another man's car, that's just wrong.

And kids shouldn't mess with any people's cars.
