Default Cutting Exhaust (motorcycle)

Hey guys,

I've been online looking for local shops and all the ones I have talked to are unsure about the procedure. They want me to come in to look at it.

I know you just drill the rivets out and cut he can and seal up and re-rivet.....

Anyone done this or know of shop that has done it before?

P.S. - I just want to shorten the can...

It can be done. You don't really need to take it to a shop.

Just drill out the rivets, and shorten the can with a band saw.

Then Re-Rivet the End.

You don't really need to take this to a shop. And really don't take it to a normal muffler shop. Why don't you go to a bike meet and ask around...

Ya I called Pronto, I only usually go to them for anything exhaust. The guy who answered didn't know what I was talking about he said I would need to bring it in to check it out.

I understand it's easy and they should be able to do it, but I'm super OCD about stuff so I would like it if someone has done it before.

The only thing holding me back is......
- Don't have all the tools to do this myself
- I don't know how/process of re-rivetting
- It's carbon fiber so I need something to cut it fast and clean

I guess I should just ask around.
