Default Decorations for the Plano 4th parade

Our cars are classy cars so let's come up with a unanimous decision on decorating our cars.

Also, we need a mixture on colors in each group of five. Help me with your colors and I'll put the groups together.

I have a silver/black. Too busy right now to really be involved with decorating decisions, but I will be happy to arrive early enough to get whatever is decided placed on myself or my car

NFR here - so I'm already semi-patriotic (plus I'll have the Sam Hat!)

Someone is going to have to take the initiative to go by a party store (or wherever they have this sort of thing) and just see what they've got...

We've got to find some materials (whether they be flags or whatever), have people pitch in to buy them etc.

I'm tempted to just dress up a little myself and leave the car be....buy a few strips of red, white, and blue cloth or something to put around my shoulders to match the hat maybe...

Ooh oOh - OR - If we got a bunch of strips of R,W, & B cloth (or paper, or plastic) maybe 1 foot wide by 6 feet long we could wrap them loosely behind the seats where the rag top sits and make kind of a patriotic S2000 stoll... It looks cool in my mind, anyway

I like the Uncle Sam hat idea and the magnetic flag idea. I plan on putting the hardtop on, so I dont' think I'll have anywhere to put actual flags on my car.

I'm NFR!

I'd like to do something where we stand out fairly well in the parade. Not overdone & gaudy, just so people notice/remember us. But aside from stickers/hats, I'm not sure what we could do. I suck at ideas. It'll be fun nonetheless. I definetly think we need to somehow let people know we're with S2Ki or NTS2KOC. I know there was mention of a club banner in another thread.

Moron,

You're not left out! You're special! We'll just get some red, white and blue paint and go to town on your car!!

I agree with Kaiser. I'll go to the Party store and see what is available in the next couple of days. Maybe we could do the hats and tape a small flag to our antenna.

I also mentioned the Banner. It is red, white and blue. It is the banner that is out for the autocross races. For those who don't race, it says North Texas S2K Club. It also mentions the the 2005 autocross championship series. The banner is the TEXAS FLAG. My daughter and one of her friends will walk in front of us holding the banner kinda like a marching band does.

We can hand out candy to the kids if we have a passenger. We are not allowed to throw candy.

More to Come!!

James picked up the NTS2KOC club banner this weekend. I understand a few kido's will be walking with it in front of the group. You guys have fun. Just get some hats and show up... No need to geek up the cars too.

I agree with Clovis. I'll go get ten small flags for our antennas. We can all wear the Uncle Sam hats and if you have a son, daughter, brother, sister, or just someone who wants to walk along side of the cars, bring them. We can all buy a couple of bags of candy to pass out to the kids. There will be hundreds of kids lining both sides of the street. THIS IS A BIG SUBURBAN PARADE!!! There will definitely be TV coverage.

I was thinkin like NFR then GPW then Sazuka in order... so that our line would be red white blue...

then the blacks, yellows, S2Kameleons, silvers behind the Red, White, Blue cars...
