Driving gloves
Can anyone recommend a good pair of driving gloves? I'm not sure if these exist, but I want a pair good for wearing both at the track and look decent enough to wear around town too (just in the car though). Most of the racing gloves I've seen are white or other bright colors which I don't like. I'd prefer something like the generic black leather ones, but that don't have the seam on the inside of the thumb.
Yeah, I know I am picky.
Any ideas? Thanks!

Wearing racing gloves on the street makes you look like a tool. If you want some leather gloves you could go to the BMW dealer and get something like this. I think they are 30-40 bucks.

When we were kids, our parents forced us to become police explorers in hopes to rehabilitate us into good law abiding kids. Obviously it didnt work...
Anyways, they had competitions between police posts citywide and one of the events was driving the police cars through an auto-x type of course... The kid that wore the driving gloves and special driving sunglasses wrecked a carrollton police car.

Thanks everyone. I agree that wearing racing gloves on the street makes you look like an idiot. That's exactly why I want some that don't look like racing gloves. Primarily they'll just be for these freezing mornings.
Cosmos, I really like those but I'm not sure I could bring myself to wear "M" gloves while not owning one. Well, maybe putting a Type-R sticker on my Z would help some.
PilotSi, those gloves still scream "racer dork" too much to me...at least for on the street anyway.
last night I saw some Oakley golf gloves that I think might work well for driving. They're thin leather with good tactile feel and look pretty cool, to me anyway.

Gloves can be intimidating too.
Good thread though, the titanium shift knob makes my hand cold so maybe I can pull a Michael Jackson and just wear one.
