Thumbs down Even more stuff

When I was talking to my source for the engines in the other post I found out they have a bunch of other '04 stuff for sale cheap.

How bout a complete set of brand new (less than 10 miles) '04 wheels and tires for $1200?

How bout what he calls the rear carrier which is them just unbolting a complete rear suspension, diff, axles, etc for $1400-$1600? (depending upon shipping)

I am sure full front suspensions can be had as well, I just never thought to ask him.

New 6 speed trannies for $1450?

I haven't been been able to talk him out of any front or rear fascias but he's looking for headlights for me although he does have front and rear clips he'll sell.

Now here's the neat deal, the larger the total order the cheaper everything is. So if there is anyone looking for any of this stuff this is the time to buy. If we order together we all save money.

So far I am ordering 3 engine combos. To give you an idea of how much discount we're talking (and the only example he has given me is on the engines & if the order is large enough he will cut the prices on every piece in the order), he has said the engines could be as much as $200 cheaper!! I am sure the wheels/tires would not drop as much as everything else but you could expect $50 or more drop on other parts.

You would really need to budget top dollar (which is excellent) and hopefully you will be pleasantly surprised with a bonus. We would know the exact price, if there was a discount, before any money changed hands.

I intend to place the order for the engines Friday but I can delay the order for a few more days. I can't go beyond that simply because the engines will be gone and that is what I am mostly interested in.

All these prices include shipping to me. You would have to arrange to pick up from me.

I am not interested in offering this out of area. This is a one time deal, unless there's another train wreck somewhere, and I thought that if others in the area were in the market it might help by lowering all our prices.

As I mentioned on the other post, since I have changed my email addy for a throwaway address to help control spam, I don't get notification of replies to topics so due to the time table please contact me direct if you don't get a reply on the list quickly enough.

Papers? What kind of papers are you talking about? Other than when I bought my car or my house I've never gotten papers on anything. Do you mean is it a legitimate source and not stolen?

Yes, it is legit and is being sourced from the insurance company outlet that is liquidating all the stuff they had to pay for from the train wreck.

My purpose is to maybe get together a larger order than I would be able to do by myself so that I get a better price on my engine. Once I place the order for my engine I am out of the spare parts business. So step up to the plate soon or wish later you could get some of those cool, cheap '04 parts cause unless there is another wreck or natural disaster these types of pieces are not likely to turn up again.

My source is the exact same source as Hardtopguy. There is only one place to get this stuff from right now. Later when they start selling off all the batches of bits and pieces that are left over then no telling where it is coming from.

I'm interested in a tranny if he can get the price down to $1000.

I doubt that will get down to $1,000 but it all depends upon how much other stuff we order. I mean what are the odds he'll reduce the price of a tranny by $450 when he is only cutting the price of the engines by a max of $200.

I have 3 engines already and now have added one set of tires and rims. The larger the order the better the odds of a discount. The prices are already very good.

I will put that on the maybe list and Friday when I call to place the order I will ask. Send me a way to contact you directly and I will call you when I get the answer. Like I say, the total order affects how much if any further discount we can get.

If the trannies get down to $1,000 I'll buy a couple of spares which would help with the total order as well.

I really, really wanted an instrument cluster but they had to destroy all of those.

Don't the 04 clusters have a temp gauge that really reads the temp?

The 04s used the same diff gears didn't they?
