Default Front License Plate

Anybody have a alternate way to attach the front plate. I have been running around without one. I understand they are starting to ticket people for not having them. Would appreciate any ideas. The standard way just doesn't look very good in my opinion. Maybe something recessed in the grill area?

Thanks, Rod

Probably wouldn't want to block the cool air going to the radiator. You could get the Rick's JDM Plate Bracket. It's pretty low profile and it's angled back towards the radiator. So long as you're not doing anything wrong I couldn't see anyone getting stopped JUST for the front plate violation.

I got a written warning the last time I was pulled over... however the speeding ticket wasn't a warning

I wish there was some alternative, like stickers you could place in the lower passenger side of your windshield or somethin... or you know, not having a front license plate. *grr*

Yep... that would be nice...

but for now, those of us who just refuse to have a plate on there must occasionally pay the no-plate-tax.

I drive by several police officers daily in my trek home from Addison to Frisco, and as of yet to be pulled over. Of course I try to belnd into the pack, and not expose myself too much.

You're not going to like the alternative, but at least it's legal (according to my State Senator responding to my concerns about the front plate requirement). You can place the plate on the dash. (How would you like that flying around during an accident?) Stupid alternative from the state-but perfectly legal.

Yeah, after what happened to my faceplate on my stereo (came off the radio, opened the cover and managed to find itself at the front of the passenger foot room) I don't imagine I want some sharp metal thing suction cupped to my windshield...

on my civic i ziptied it under the bumper on the plastic grille and bent the lower inch or so underneath itself to make the plate as small as possible. on the front plate, only the numbers have to show.....thats why its legal (according to the audi guys i know) to use a euro plate with your numbers on it.

i simply dont use the plate on the s2000....knock on wood.

I refuse to put that ugly plate on my car, I havnt been tagged yet by the liscene plate patrol and I hope I never will. I see a bunch of other cars without them and I never see them get pulled over.

I have NEVER been pulled over for no front plate.. I've been ticketed and warned about no front plate after getting pulled over for other things.. speeding mostly.. they don't really go "hey this guy has no plate.. get him" as it was said there are ALOt of no front plates.. they'd be awfully busy.. just don't rack up the offenses and you are safe..

don't be like me. speeding, no front place, and inspection expired last month...
