Default Help with radio code

If I give someone the vin number, could you tell me what my radio code is? In prepping the car for my brother in law, we replaced the battery, and now need a code.

Thanks in advance!

the car is now in Austin with me, stopped in Waco and dropped the top and went the rest of the way like that since i didnt have a radio.

Question about the radio code, if it is saying "err2" (which we assume means 2nd try because we tried what we thought was the code) will pressing 1 and 6 to get the code still work or will it think its another try?

Pull the fuse or disconnect the ground cable. turn the radio off, press and hold 1 & 6, turn radio on. Code is on the display.
