Default Honda Challenge

This last weekend was my first racing event with NASA Texas (www.nasatx.com) at MSR and it was an absolute blast. I have driven this track many times but this was my first race there. They had 5 run groups, two of which were DE and the other 3 were race group. 4 Hondas showed up for the Honda Challenge Series including my Prelude, an Integra Type R, a

Sweet! I didn't realize that the Honda Challenge was being run out here in Texas - my impression was that it's mostly an east coast thing.

How different are the HC rules from SCCA Improved Touring?

NASA Honda Challenge H2-H5 classes allow a few more mods than SCCA Improved Touring.
Here are some examples:
Allows ABS
Any flywheel
Hondata
VAFC
adjustable ball joints and/or adjustable control arms
body kits and non factory wings

The Honda Challenge H1 class allows many more modifications and is where the S2000, NSX, and Hybrid Hondas are classified.
