I'm spoiled, new computer
I checked an online speed tester for my Fios broadband service and I'm downloading at 15.6 meg/sec and uploading at 2 meg/sec. FIOS has a 60meg/sec package for hardcore online gamers.
Finally upgraded my wife's desktop to a new Intel Core 2 Duo with plenty of memory and some other goodies that my dad helped me research. My wife's old computer seemed like something of the 386 variety.
Just kidding, but not by much. Either way, it was definitely the weak link with internet surfing speed.
My internet surfing is now almost as fast as my S2000 driving.

Sorry, just getting warmed up for autocross season.
I am waiting for a new DVD drive for my new computer...
I am looking forward to putting it to work... a Core 2 Duo E6600, Asus P5B-E mobo and, right now, 2 gigs of 667mhz RAM (soon to change over to the faster 800mhz)...

Turn that $200 CPU into a $500 CPU by overclocking it with some watercooling.
Want your internet to be even Faster? Try this, Click Start, Select "Run", Type "Gpedit.msc", Expand the "Local Computer Policy" branch
Expand the "Administrative Templates" branch, Expand the "Network" Branch, Highlight the "QoS Packet Scheduler" in the left window, In the right window, double click the "limit reservable bandwidth" setting, On the settings tab, check the "enabled" item
Where it says "Bandwidth limit %" change it to read 0, Click Apply and then OK.

I ran some tests with it set to 0, and not set (default):
SET = 0 Run1 Run2 Run3 Run4 Run5 AVG
Down 5234 5126 4311 5146 4236 4810.6
Up 489 420 386 469 486 450
NOT SET Run1 Run2 Run3 Run4 Run5 AVG
Down 4920 5186 5026 4588 4922 4928.4
Up 490 483 486 489 485 486.6
I left mine as the default, no real change...

Lane, my speeds were on TWCable... though, reliable it is not. That's why I'm thinking of switching to FiOS. Anybody with FiOS, how is your uptime?
