Thumbs up Jet Ski?

Sorry for the off topic post but I thought someone might be able to help me out.

This last weekend proved we don't have enough jet skis for a group so does anyone have or know of anyone who has inexpensive 3 seater for sale?

I think I would prefer a Sea Doo but I am open to other brands, but I need at least 110 hp.

You should have come out to LJs either the night before the autocross or afterward. At that time we had more jet skis than people plus a 27 foot Eliminator boat, but Turbolane (#666) broke the boat. We are not sure what he did but water was just gushing out of the bottom of the exhaust manifold.

Fortunately he broke it by a public beach so we got to sit for a half an hour while LJ went and got the trailer. We had it much easier than LJ, we got to (had to) watch a young, lumpy 225-250 lb. girl in a bikini dig a jet ski out of the sand and launch it. Fortunately we hadn't eaten yet.

My son has one for sale...

"Its a 1995 Yamaha Waveraider 1100 with just over 100 hours. It has 110 horsepower and easily does 55-60 mph. Comes with trailer, cover and 3 lifejackets."

It is stored in Lewisville and I think he is asking about $1900 OBO.

It sounds like the exhaust manifold simply didnt have the plug in it. If the engine was running, water shoudl be gushing out of the hole. If you turned off the motor and the gushing stopped, thats probably what it was. The plug was either not in, or not in properly and might be at the bottom of the bilge.

It was coming out in a 4-5" wide waterfall effect instead of like out a hole.

We are hoping that is the gasket, but you can't see it without standing on your head and it was too hot to do that at the time.

That doesn't sound good and i hope it's only the gasket, but it doesn't sound like it. I'd hate to think the manifold itself is cracked... Good luck and let us know what it was.
