You don't need a lawyer. Just call the prosecuting atty office for the jurisdiction you received the ticket and ask to get it deferred.

just wait 2-3 days and you will get a bunch of letters from different attorneys...doesnt matter which one you pick...the outcome will most likely come out the same between them

What is the best and cheapest way for me to not have that ticket in my records?

The one time I hired a lawyer, he got me defered... so I had to pay $45 for the lawyer PLUS the fees for defered... it will be cheaper to do either defensive driving or defered on your own. Lawyers FTL unless you are dealing with an offense that is not eligible for defered.

Don't worry....go to the court clerk and ask for a defend-driving-class and pay the fine. I think you pay $120-150 depend on what the amount the popo gave you and then set up a defense driving class online $25 and driving record request $15-20. The court give you 90days or 60days(i forgot) to finish your defense driving class and present the certificate to them once you go back to court and you are done. No point to your driving record.

Or the judge might give you a 90 probation and just pay the fine since you haven't got any ticket for awhile. G/L

From a man who has gotten more tickets than you will in your lifetime, used deferred first, defensive second, lawyer third, beatmyspeedingticket.com (you go to court and shed doubt on the exact speed-judge forced to dismiss) last - the order is important if you start to rack them up. BTW, get a radar detector-a good one is just as costly as a good ticket-so in my opinion, if you get a ticket even once-you should have bought the detector instead.

Geez, 81 in a 65 is nothing just go to defensive driving or do deferred like everyone already told you. I thought you got caught doing 140 in a 55 when I read the thread title.
