Default K-Pro and emissions

Has anyone gotten their K-Pro equipped s2000 inspected (I'm talking about the yearly safety/emissions inspection)? I am leaning heavily towards K-Pro to avoid the hassles of getting the s2000 inspected with an AEM EMS, was just curious if anyone has encountered this situation here yet.

I know you can find someone to pass it no matter what, but I want it to be able to pass at most places and avoid a hassle.

Thanks!

harder to get away with when they hook the computer to the obd2 port.

not exactly, they run "readiness" tests before they even begin the full tests. I'm not sure if a KPRO does or does not mimic the PCM's routine functions to fool a diagnostics machine.

Agreed. If your ECU is not reflecting emissions Ready codes (which can even show "Not Ready" just by unplugging your battery!) then you will fail emissions. Most shade-tree shops have stopped performing illegal emissions examinations.

True, I did have it on the RSX, so I can answer a few things.

First, I had all the necessary emissions equipment on my RSX, so it didn't throw any codes. Second, the K-Pro allows you to turn off the OBD-II sensors, but I would guess that this will cause it to fail the readiness test performed during inspection.

If you have no cat and the O2 sensor delete hack, you should be fine -- the car will pass the emissions readiness test through the OBD-II port. I don't know if the K-Pro will help you get around this.
