Keeping Us Safe Again
SubscribeWell, it seems the the DFW area will be stepping up measures to keep the real criminals in this city in check. I am going to sleep so much better knowing their doing such a fine job...
Either way, here's a little FYI for all you rubber burning speed freaks.... I received it this morning via email...

Thanks for the update - every now and then, these damned chain letters even get me...Originally Posted by mxt_77,Jan 23 2006, 11:14 AM
I got that in an e-mail last week. 15 minutes later, the sender retracted it saying that it's a hoax.

Well... it still wouldn't hurt for us to watch our speed.

Plano's been having towers up and down 75 for some time now... I've accidently speed past them a time or two and never been pulled over but one of these times I'm not going to be so lucky.
In other news Plano has started to impliment their red light cameras... I know there's one at Spring Creek and Custer... I barely noticed it when I was driving by... wonder how long it's been there.

They're justifying my decision to drive without a valid driver's licence more and more every day.Originally Posted by Doug0716,Jan 23 2006, 11:58 AM

I'd love to see them send a ticket to my house when I haven't lived there in over 2

The ticket for the red-light cameras is a civil penalty and goes to the address where the car is registered... not where your DL is registered.Originally Posted by Tx_Phantom,Jan 23 2006, 12:11 PM

Serious question to those in Dallas county... Do you have to pay property taxes on vehicles every January? I am going to move soon and will consider Tarrant again if I can avoid these taxes.
Thanks

I heard them talking about this on the Edge this morning on my way into work. Not sure if it's just a chain letter hoax or not.
Interesting though... On my way in this morning, my V1 kept taking laser hits the whole way in, 35 miles of travel, and not once did I ever actually see a cop. Except the one on the tollway West bound that already had someone stopped.
I slowed down to the speed limit, and I almost always do at least 5 over.
