Which photographer? If it's Greg Woodson, I've seen quite a bit of his work and I've been impressed. Of course, he always has good subjects to work with, too.
Well, I gotta admit that I was disappointed. The setup of the stadium just sucked for this type of game. We were way too far from the field to really see the action. I think you'd have to buy field-side tickets to be close enough to enjoy it. Since we were so far away, it was really hard to get into the game, so most of the time we were just drinking and talking and not following the game closely. Most people just hung out near the bar that overlooks left field, and the stands were virtually empty. With such a low attendence, I don't foresee this sport surviving very long. However, the girls played a great game and took home a win. Apparently, there was a pretty good scuffle at one point, but I missed it, so I'm hoping somebody posts up pics today.
I never did see the "Meet & Greet" during the tailgate party, so I'm not sure what happened there. I only talked to one of the players, and that was because she was injured and didn't play in last night's game, so she was mingling in the crowd.
Oh, and Tom, you should definitely go to one of Greg's classes. He was there shooting the game last night and had his current "apprentice" with him. They both had all-access passes and were down on the field in the mix of the action.
He said he also did the photo shoots for the programs & stuff. I'm pretty sure he's doing a photo shoot with a bunch of models today at Sara's Secret in Richardson, too. Not sure what time it is, but if you're out and about you might stop by and talk with him if you're really interested in his classes.
All in all, I had a good time, but only because I was there with a fun group of friends. The game was just background noise more than anything. Next time, I'd really like to get field-side tickets and see if I can get into the game more, because they really do play hard and it's fun to watch.
