Default May ned up needing a lawyer...

I got into a wreck Sunday night... a woman ran a red light and braod sided me. She told the police and her insurnace that she had the green. Every witness there said she ran the light... and the officer wrote her a citation for running the red.

I am stuck with her insurance company because she is avoiding the investigation. I think it is getting close to time to hire a lawyer because she has done nothing to move this forward.

How does one go about selecting a lawyer of some quality for this type of work?

...Good luck on your claim 25RS, finding a good lawyer is tough.

My sister was hit by a street racer that flipped across the median and hit her car dead on. We ended up with a horrible lawyer to fight her case We were less then satisifed with the outcome.

The easy solution is to file under your own insurance and let them go after her for their money back. While you may take the hit for the deductible, you do get your car fixed and someone else deals with the deadbeat and the layers too.

I used Kondos & Kondos about ten years ago, happy with the outcome but it was a very basic accident; I can't speak for them in a case like yours...I still get birthday and Christmas cards from them! Even when I was in Seattle they mailed them to me there, at least they have a good marketing company.

Sorry for the problems, it sucks, hope you get it worked out.

I'll check tonight and see if I still have their card...

I had a similar problem (wife's car) and just used my own insurance who then settled with the other.

if you have witnesses, you should be okay. I got in to a wreck and had one witness and it made teh difference.

there is a witness... several actually... and I think I will be letting my insurance handle it from here on... I just received word from my insurance that the car is a total loss. Not that I am happy to lose the car, but I was soooooo worried they would try to repair it.

I wanted an S2K before I bought my Subaru... but the sad truth is... I can't drive one. I am 6'5" tall... there is not enough room under the steering wheel for me to actuate the pedals... that is the reason I try to catch rides with you guys... live through your passenger seat
