Mazda Rev It up
All in all, I had a good time. It was difficult to step into an entirely new car and drive it to its potential. Even the "slightly modified" car that was used for the competitive runs was not set up the way I like and still had too much understeer.
With that said, I obviously didn't win, but I did manage to make it onto the leader board (at least temporarily).
When I finished, my name was 12th overall and 6th in the 'Pro' driver's section. I doubt that will stand throughout the course of the weekend, though.

Congrats to quikag for making a heckuva showing (Top 20 Overall in Dallas, Top 100 Nationwide)! I ended up #56 overall in Dallas.
Oh, well. I guess #56 out of more than 1100 participants isn't too bad.

Marcus,
I'm going to have to agree with you as I understeered really bad through two corners, the first right corner coming into the second slalom and the very last right turn before the finish.
Again, I dropped the ball. Last year, I was one corner/cone from winning the event. My raw time (before the cone) last year was within 1.5 seconds of winning Dallas. That was after I nearly came to a stop trying to avoid the cone at the very last 90 degree left hand turn before the short straight through the finish.. I was upset for a few days after that. That said, everyone gets two tries and there are those that can get the job done in two runs. I need 3.

This year I had a lot of fun, even though I didn't win. I got there early enough to drive the six-speed RX8 and turbo Miata several times. It was a good time overall!!
Congrats to you, Marcus, I saw your name on the leader board while I was there.
