Default Need engine rebuild!

I just moved to Midland Texas from Seattle. There is absolutely nothing here in Midland. Anyhow I managed to pick up a 02 s2k with a hole in the block.

Anyone know a shop that can rebuild the motor for me? I already have another complete engine that is disassembled.

Looking for someone to pull the current motor and build the spare motor with whichever parts are good from both motor and then reinstall.

Thanks in advance.

Boy, talk about a change of location! Unless you can locate someone in say, Abilene or deliver the parts to a shop in El Paso or Ft.Worth I cannot think of anyone in Midland. I did find a shop that works on Porsche's and Mercedes, etc. so maybe they can help. Hope someone else has ideas, suggestions.

This is the local shop:

Littlefield Automotive in Midland Tx.

Welcome Fresh! I'm in Odessa!

I've got a Porsche and Land Rover driving friend that has a mechanic in Midland that he really likes (done a ton of work on his Porsche).

It may very well be the one Vanishing Point recommended. I just emailed him for the name and will let you know.

Did you get the silver one on Craigslist?

Littlefield Automotive.

It's the only shop my fiend uses. In fact, it's the only place in the Basin that would touch his Rover (dumped it).

I believe them to be a European specialist, but might be worth checking.

He's given them gobs of money to keep his Ebay Porsche going. We were just talking yesterday about the fact that he should have gotten an s2000 instead.

New to s2000's?

There's a couple around the area.

There's an owner in Odessa that's currently doing a turbo build. There's also a yellow one I've seen running around, but have yet to chat with the owner.

If you end up having to haul the motor out of town, might as well take it to the Dallas area to one of the proven s2000 knowledgeable shops.

I would guess your in the oil field? Id say your best bet to keep downtime and $$$ down would be buy a complete motor and have it shipped to the shop so at least all they would need to do is swap the motors rather than rebuild by a universal mechanic that is unfamiliar with s2000's.
