Next TrackEvent-I missed spelled the thread. It is too late, need sleep, need to get off the net.

I am new at this as you know. And was wondering when the next event was taking place. SCCA or other events that are car and club is welcome to join in on. I think there was one this weekend but it seems to have been cancelled?

I recommend the BMW autocross in Mineral Wells on June 15th. Speeds are faster than what we did in our autocrosses since their insurance does not say they have to keep it under 70mph. Just like the S2000 club, they do eight runs a day + fun runs. They are well run and their timing system is the best I have seen. If a lot of S2000 guys want to go let me know so I will bring the S2000 instead of the Prelude.

Here is link to their autocross page http://www.lscbmwcca.org/autox/schedule.html

It is in the same location, from what it looks like.

How many people usually show up for this event?

They run three groups. One group works, while the second drives and the third rests and then they rotate. You get to run 4 times in your group and your group goes twice in a day for a total of 8 runs. They do not take a lunch so you have to go eat during one of your two rest periods. It is in the same location but registration ends at 9am and the first car is usually on track no later than 10am. There usually is 40-50 cars that show up but they are very efficient and they usually get done by 4pm.
