I'm not familiar with Lone Star Park. How does it compare to the others?

It is a lot like Gulf Greyhound in Houston, but in better condiditon. I know that means squat to 99% of the people on this board.

It is the same agrigate as Mineral Wells, but in much better condition. We expect much more grip than TMS and since there is no gravel, much more grip than MW, too.

There are light poles, but they are spaced far apart. We also have to work around some drainage areas and various ripples in the surface from the soil shifting underneath. It is such a large space that none of this should keep us from making a fun course that should be at least as long as the courses at TMS, but probably longer.

Also, unlike TMS, cold weather or rain should not have such a big impact.

We also get to use real restrooms rather than portables.

I would prefer a more even split, but it seems that the majority of people prefer Saturday. Plus, three other clubs have events on AX Sundays, which narrows our available Sunday dates. While I prefer that you attend our events, please checkout some of the other club's events on Sundays. At ER, you get six runs (almost as many as us), and at SCCA, you get a nice variety of competition -- too many driver for eight runs. PCA events give you as many runs as us.

Interesting. The 5/1 event is at TMS, which is the same weekend as the MS150 bike ride. That ride winds-up at TMS on Sat, so it will be a madhouse in the grass RV lot. As such, I'll be riding instead of driving.

The 10/16 event has moved to 7/24 because of a conflict. It is still at TMS. I tried to keep it in October, but we could not get a confirmed venue. I appologize for any inconvenience this might cause.
