Default OFFICIAL No Straight Lines Drive thread

Okay, in order to cut down on some possible confusion I'm creating this new thread as the official info/rsvp thread for the No Straight Lines drive on Sunday, May 26. Here's the details:

90 miles of twists, turns, and elevation changes provide great scenery but also demand your attention to the road. There are a lot of hard curves and some off-camber corners on this route with lots of room to get yourself in trouble if you're pushing past your limit, so this is most definitely a drive-at-your-own-pace kind of drive. I will be leading a very spirited pace through the curves up front, but if you are more comfortable driving slower you will not get left behind. Either way, make absolutely sure your tires and fluids are in good condition. Bring 2-way radios as well.

Meet up at the Circle K beside the Cracker Barrel in Benbrook at 820 & 377 around 9:30-9:45-ish and get gassed up, we plan to be leaving at 10am.

Lunch will be at Fuzzy's Taco Shop (love them Fuzzy Tacos!) in Mineral Wells.

Yeah, probably a little over an hour. And I would recommend taking a route that does not include 121 - you would hit construction in the Grapevine area and then more construction in the Bedford area, and it would end up taking more like an hour and a half. Plus you'd be paying close to $10 in tolls and only saving about 5 miles. Any way you slice it, you have quite a drive ahead of you just to get there.

True about the tolls, but if you don't mind them, it is easily the fastest way. Construction won't be a concern at that time on a Sunday morning.

Also, just to confirm, as I didn't see it in the OP, this is for Sunday, May 26 right?
