Default Oil pan help

So I was driving today and hit a rock. I couldn't dodge it becasue I want on the highway and couldn't switch lanes. Anyways, I brought it to Lute Riley Honda and they said it would cost 525 bucks to replace it. I know there has to be a way just to weld it up or something. If anyone from around the dallas area is willing to help me out, please give me a holler. I am willing to pay for your labor to get it off, weld it, replace it, whatever I have to do! PLEASE HELP!!!

A oil pan is $182 here

You should be able to take it pretty much anywhere and have them change it for less than $100 labor.

Is there anyway I can just take the pan off and go get it welded somewhere?

I don't know about the S2k pan specifically, but it is probably too thin to be easily weldable. You're probably stuck buying a new one (or getting one off a wrecked S2000... that might save a ton).

The biggest question is:::: How hard is it to remove an S2000 oil pan? On my Nissan you have to remove the transmission and a bunch of other stuff to get to it. It may be no big deal - or it may be major surgery.

Looking at the manual it's held in place with 21 bolts which are accessible from underneath the car. Looks like a 1 hour job and an oil change to me. I should note that the manual suggests tightening the bolts in a certain sequence to prevent warping. You'll also want to use liquid gasket on the mating surfaces. I'd spend the money and buy a new pan and replace it myself.

Wow. Getting a response from Clovis himself. If I buy the oil pan, is there anyway I might get your assistance in putting it on. Of course I will pay you for your labor and time.
