Default Radar Hardwire help?

I was looking for some help/tools and to answer questions on how to hardwire my radar detector.

Does anyone havea T25 torx driver i can borrow? Also For the power. In the DIY guide, it says to connect power to the accessory tap in the fuse box. Mine is already beening used. I'm assuming if i connect it to Constant power mean it's powered 24/7. Should i T-Tap from the one that's already useing the accessory tap?

Boosted, There are three accessory plugs you can use. The middle one turns on/off with the key. One of the others you would have to manually turn off the device, and I'm not sure about the 3rd. What are you using in the middle one right now, the 32" flat screen?

Seriously, the hardest part of this installation is connecting the ground wire... Uggghhh...

Lee, you were kidding right? LMAO.

If I understand these things properly, you should be able to run both devices off the Accessory power plug on the fuse box. I guess a T-tap would work, although there might be better ways, I don't know. Make sure the radar detector has a proper ground connection and fuse, of course.

Best place to find a T25 torx so far as I know (why do you need one anyway?) is in a computer repair toolkit. Fry's or the like should have one cheap.

Yeah, can't trust 'em.

I see where the torx is needed - to remove the sun visor. I didn't do that step, and instead simply stuffed the wire up there. I did take the A pillar trim off to run the wire there, however.

Tx Phantom, accordin to Todd's write up the third power tap is hot when the headlights are on.
