I'm supposed to close on Wednesday afternoon. I don't know if it will actually happen, though, because there are still 140 items on my checklist of items to be repaired/replaced/adjusted/touched-up.

I probably won't move in for a couple of weeks, though. I want to get the tile sealed, and install my garage floor coating before I move in. Even once I'm there, you probably won't see the S cruising around. I generally only drive it to/from autocrosses/track events.
well I'll be around. the tranny is goin out in my truck so I'm using my S for a daily at the moment

Yeah, but he'll be able to hear it from several miles off...
what's he got?!

I get told all the time (with the garage door already up) "I heard you coming."

That's why I don't drive it very often. I'm sure my neighbors would love me if I fired it up every morning. Now, they only have to hear it at 6am on Saturdays when I go to the autocross!

Kaiser-
Regarding the trains... that is an important point to note. My neighborhood is about 1-2 miles from the train track, and there is enough 'stuff' between me and the train that you can only faintly hear the train. It doesn't bother me, though, because I grew up about 1-2 miles from a train track all my life, so it kinda feels like home.

However, for the people that are closer to the train (and there are some that are *really* close), I feel sorry for them. I'm sure you get used to it, though... kinda like living under a flight path near an airport.
I've had people complain to the property manager about my car. the garage allows for about 6" clearance on each side so I have to ride my clutch to get in since I back it in. oh they hate that crap..

as for the trains.. I live so close to the tracks that I can hit the trains coming through with a rock if I was so inclined to do so. If they are 100yds away I'd be shocked it was that far. after about the first month you don't notice em anymore. the only time you notice em is when they hit the brakes and screech REALLY loud.. horns, engines, track noise is all able to get used to.

and as for flight path.. OH CRAP.. I was on 114 today with the top down.. and a UPS 747 was landing and OH MY GOD!!!!!! I still can't hear.. LOL

Well.. as expected, I didn't close yesterday. I'm currently scheduled to close tomorrow, but I don't think that's going to happen either.

BTW... My S2000 has an Amuse R1000 on it (among other things). Basically, a straight pipe from the header back.
