Default S2000: Week 1

Well its been almost a week since I've purchased the car. And I must say, there are some things that are pretty annoying or at least getting there.

Theres no passenger unlock button!?
Does anyone know of a simple fix or relay switch I could use? Or would it be easier if I went to cartoys or earmark and have them install some kind of relay switch for me?

The rear plastic window isn't particularly easy to see out of, is there a good solution I could use to clean it up until I am able to get a retrofit or hardtop? (I'll be contacting Clovis once I'm ready for one.)

And lastly I'm just plain not careful enough in this car. I'm not used to the long nose of this car and sometimes scoot up a bit too far...scraping my lip.

Other than those couple things, the car preformance exceeds my expectations and I'm having a blast!

Modifry.com has a mod for the passenger unlock feature.

The S is a very short car, you don't need to pull it that close.

Do you not have keyless entry? I never even noticed that the car doesn't have a passenger lock/unlock button until yesterday when I took the key off the keyless fob for autocross.

Also get some plexus of 3m Plastix cleaner and see if that will clear the rear window up a little. Might take some elbow grease but those usually work decent unlesst he window is already yellowed and basically shot.

Thats a pretty nice write up from modifry.com, just a simple ground and that'll fix it all. Sure is a lot of work just to ground a couple of wires though...

Yeah, I do have keyless entry, but I won't be able to use it once the engine is turned on. I'd have to turn the car off, press the unlock button, and then turn the engine on. Its a pain in the butt and probably isn't the best for the car.

Well, its not really on a regular basis, its only because I just recently got the car and everyone wants a ride. I'm happy to oblige but its a pain to get them in if I have the car already running.

It would be nice to have the feature just to have it. Even if you don't use it too much .

An ice hockey line change style entry into the vehicle is always preferred and adds excitement to the experience

Yes, I done the samething on my S2K and it also have a crack on lip . Is there a place to fix the crack or do I better off just buy a new one. Where is the best place to get a new painted OEM ap1 lip and how much do the lip cost? Thanks. Jon
