Default Seat Locks?

Anyone have or considered getting seatlocks??? I seldom park my car outside so it is usually an after thought but I'm hearing more and more about seat theft of Honda seats....Where do you get them?

IMO why bother? When someone breaks into your car they will probably do alot more harm to your interior when they get frustrated with your seats. I say let them take it if they want to go through all that and let your insurance deal with the stolen seats and probably slashed roof. Afterall your roof probably will get slashed regardless if your seats are taken or not and I dont think the convertible top is cheap either. Might as well get new seats with the deductible your going to be paying.

This is always the case in the UK

For this reason wheel-locks arent the best idea either, some real nasty evil people out there, proportionally higher within the small percentage of people who make their living as parasites

Save the money and spend it on renting a garage to park your car in, or paying a bit more on insurance to reduce your 'other than collision' deductible IMO.

I would rather spend $65 on the wheel locks and ride around on cut up seats for a few weeks until the insurance came through with the new ones. At least I have the satisfaction of knowing the thief didn't take off with my seats that he's probably going to put into his 91 civic. And if the seats are stolen then you are screwed and can't drive the car at all.

Agreed. There is no reason to support this bastardly type of crime, especially when your insurance company will still cover any consequential damage.

I'm not going to put threadlocker on my seatbolts, or weld anything. Any other suggestions? On the subject I'm guessing...Anything to deter having the top slashed??? I remember using 12 30lb. Zip-ties to give "added" security to the lip spoiler on my 2000 civic. I have an alarm, but I'm wondering if that's enough.

I think if you're gonna get them the ones that kodokan sells are pretty good. My gf was considering getting a set even though her car spends most the time in a garage, but you never know when some bastards will break into the car at a restaurant or mall parking lot. I'm nervous enough parking my M3 in a brightly lit parking lot, I don't even want to know how you S2000 guys with cloth tops feel.
