You could always try an attorney, I had one work on a ticket for me and I ended up having to pay a fine for " driving with defective equipment". No ticket on record.
You think I could go in and get it talked down to a lesser violatino myself or is that something a lawyer would have to do?

I guess it depends on how persuasive you are.... I have no idea. If you can get in touch with the prosecuting attorney you could probably get a deal worked out with him before it even goes to court, and it won't cost you anything to give it a try...

You realize you have to be present in that courthouse to do all of that. Not worth the drive if you ask me.

I don't think all the different counties coordinate with each other to make sure you're not on probation. I had a friend that was doing deffered in denton, collin and tarrant county at once.

Yeah but it's better than having a ticket no my record for 3 years. That's the only way to get out of it now (since they don't offer Deferred), is to go down there and talk to the judge.

I think if I were going to go talk to the judge it would be worth getting a lawyer - I think the ones that do a high volume of traffic stuff can be had pretty cheaply.
