I don't think so at all. I refuse to believe that more than 70% of the people on welfare are physically unable to do any sort of work. Maybe they're not all able to do moderate physical work but they can do SOMETHING! You have to be in pretty bad shape to not be able to do anything.

From my understanding this is tax free and does not change the refund or increase the amount you owe when you file tax return. Did I miss something?
Check out the IRS website, second answer from the bottom question.
Uncle Sam
They have enough on their hands to worry about the "Limp" economy
.
One part of the economy that concerns me is the "Fringe" economy. During these financial hardships, a visitation to such businesses frequently occurs and these businesses partakes in lending practices which very often yield lofty returns from high interest rates and/or charges. That is saying it nicely. It is a billion dollar industry with no real rules nor regulation that takes advantages of people, but then again they are willing to pay for it......

Here here! I thought about that too when choosing a career.
My bosses makes 6 figures in our pharmacies but after taxes, insurance for malpractice, more insurance for malpractice, and yet more insurance for malpractice, they end up with about 60k a year. Why spend 7 years in school, $100,000 in tuition, god knows what for books, risk your liabilities and freedoms because of malpractice suits in court, and yield the same results as those chaps who didn't work as hard to get to your goals?
Why not settle for an average income job, save up for a couple of years, and retire and live your lives?
...Ugh, sorry for the rant, but it bothers the hell out of me when I see medicare/medicaid patients who drive up to our pharmacys drive-thru in M3's, AMG Mercedes, Lexus's, and get their prescriptions paid for by the government. Then there are other elderly patients who are barely scraping by and spending a couple of hundred dollars they don't have in order to literally live.
