Default at&t guy

i'm trying to find out when windows mobile 6.1 will be released for at&t. i know there are cooked roms available, but i want an official at&t one so i won't void my warranty. Any available info on the release date would be helpful.

I also have a question about the iphone 3g

My sister got hers a week ago and it has already blacked out on her and she's going to get it fixed, afterwards she wants to sell it, she's not happy with it at all and wants a blackberry curve like mine.

She's going to sell it on craigslist, now the question i have, if she sells her iphone on craigslist, can she call att and change her plan since she will not be using data on her blackberry or would att have some fee for getting a different type of plan now since the iphone is subsidized?

sorry to hijack your thread burke

and i believe the only 6.1 currently available is the Tilt

I think the best bet with the iphone is to return it and get the blackberry. if you sell the iphone I think there will be some kind of fees or something like that. If thats the case everybody would get the iphone and sell it for 400 to 500 dollars and make profit while they can switch out a different phone with the sim card. Thats what I would think. I would just call att and play stupid.

i didn't think you could remove sim cards from the iphone. yes i have a tilt and love it, but want to get the threaded sms from wm6.1 i have 6.0 now and could use a cooked rom but i wanna stay with at&t official for warranty. If you sister doesnt like the iphone tell her to look at the tilt it uses the same basic plan through at&t i believe, but functionally i find the tilt better.

If she got it a week ago, you can change out phones (one time) within the first 30 days, IIRC. When we got my wife her phone, we had that option, now granted, there was not a data plan involved. As for the iPhone, I've heard there is about a 2-3 week learning curve. What about it does she not like? I only ask b/c I'm debating on getting one.

1. Battery life is horrible, I have 2 other friends who have it and they have complained about the same thing and are returning it, I know have 3/3 people i know that have it and are returning it.

2. Txting annoyance with the touch screen

3. Adding up monthing bills long term that is going to cost them over a $1,000 a year

I was actually looking into getting one too and called att a few days ago since i'm already a customer and want to upgrade, they want to charge me $599 for one, or i can break my contract for $175 and buy one for $200, it's not worth it to me.

As for as the monthly bills i'm not worried about since my company pays for my cell phone bills.

I would just like to trade phones with her but the whole issues with the plan fees come up. I guess she would be better off returning it

Tilt sucks ass and i had WM 6.1 on it. The whole phone is clunky and has super slow response. Vidoe drivers are crap on that phone. Very difficult to just do simple task. For example, you cant browse and select anything in the phonebook with ease. Gottta use the pen on that slow ass touchscreen. Icons are so small its easy to fat finger eveything. Cant do much with just 1 hand.

I traded this phone for an Blackberry 8310 Curve and Love it!

Update:

Sister went to apple store where they gave her another iphone 3g with a 2 year warranty.

Went to ATT corporate yesterday with my sister. I gave her my blackberry curve plus $200 and she gave me her iphone 3g and the store rep activated it for me. Put me on an iphone data plan and took her off, took about 30 mins.

Been playing with it today, it's pretty cool, worth $200 but definately not $600

Going to discover the apps now, wish the charges were on the phone bill so I could expense it rather the itunes store
